Alfredo’s Restaurant: A Norristown Favorite
July 30, 2013 | klein
Some restaurants are more than just places to get a bite to eat. They turn into essential elements of their community. Alfredo’s is one such a place. It has been a family-owned Norristown institution for years, with generations of locals coming through the doors to enjoy top-notch breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Many regulars rave that it’s the best breakfast in town for one reason: the breakfast pizza. This savory slice is a real winner. The burgers here are exceptional, with hand-formed patties and delicious toppings. Alfredo’s also offers up a great version of the “zep." If you’ve never had one, it’s a serious thing: a hoagie roll with salami, Provolone, raw onion and tomato, seasoned with oregano, olive oil, salt and pepper. They do it right. Sure, it’s not the healthiest food that you’ll ever eat in your life, but it sure is tasty.
