Pepperoncini: Classic Italian Cuisine
July 26, 2016 | klein
First-time visitors to Conshohocken’s Pepperoncini restaurant might be fooled by this spot's unassuming exterior. But don’t judge a book by its cover – once you step inside, you’ll realize that you’re about to have a meal at one of the city’s best Italian restaurants. Pepperoncini is bright, warm and welcoming, and you’ll be greeted by spectacular smells coming out of the kitchen. Service is awesome, with well-informed, attentive waitstaff happy to make recommendations. The menu is top-notch from beginning to end, with some favorites including the excellent crostini, the shrimp Pepperoncini style (wrapped in house peppers in prosciutto de Parma and horseradish cream sauce, and the exceptional veal Sinatra topped with lump crabmeat, artichoke hearts and diced tomatoes. On Sunday, they do a special red sauce deal where you can get a huge plate of pasta for cheap. Their wine selection is also very impressive, possibly one of the best in the area.
